Top Down vs. Bottom Up

You can take a Top-Down approach by starting out with the Macro Analysis and then views of indexes, sectors, or groups. You can then narrow your focus to the companies within a group, and eventually an individual company

Another way to take a Top-Down approach is through the use of Market Scans.

If you wish to take a Bottom-Up approach, you can begin with a HyperQuote on a particular company, then see how it compares to its peers, its sector, and the broader market. You can also accomplish this from the portfolio tracker.

The Quick Start pages provide insight into different approaches and answers questions about many MarketGauge features.
